For several years, Apple has been sending out various forms and version of the hit audio device iPod. However, it seems like the company has already reached the end of its creativity this year for there seems to be no significant changes or updates with the device. The only change that we all heard about from Apple regarding the iPod was last February when Apple had decided on having a 1GB iPod Nano. And for the succeeding months, Apple seemed to be living in silence and nothing was heard about the product. On this, the International Data Corporation’s, or the IDC, analyst, Susan Kevorkian, assumes, “It’s possible that we’re at a point where the path to taking the next step is less clear and less straightforward, even for a company with the technology expertise and creativity of Apple.” She further says that perhaps the silence from the company that creates the iPods may also be because the company is still in the stage where it has to make a decision on the phase out of its PortalPlayer processor. This, she emphasizes, could lead to further changes for the next generation range of iPods.
As per whatever could happen next, we all would have to wait and see. Though we do know that its competition is surely moving forward while Apple and its iPods are still not moving.
